Missing the Sea
Glowing windows on the hillside liberated from the shroud of night by the moon and the street lamps the seasons are changing like always cars rush down the boulevard the swell of traffic sounds like waves like the sea I have been talking to you in a dance I imagined I was a rocket pummeling at light speed into the heavens to see you to tell you I forgive you I am finding my way the children are learning they are beautiful they are not as lost as we’d thought they would be I am still dancing I am in love I have begun to write the world of the future I am just missing the sea.
