Sinking Into The Earth

And I Am

The light is about to change
she begins to run
she will make it

we don’t even see it anymore
we are mesmerized
by her legs
coming down
into the pavement
in the scorch
wet burn
of the three o’clock sun

but the seconds dissolve
and we begin to move

away from
the dream of the long legs
away from the dream of the girl
away from the smile

into the rush
of the butts of metal
all pressing up against each other
hurling ourselves towards
some destination

some other dream.

  1. Pandora says:

I’m always checking women out from my car. Men too. When I get in pervert mode, from behind the wheel, everyone’s eye candy and no one escapes my gaze.

  2. S. says:

I am in the constant mode of the dreamer and observer/adorer always… of dirt and candy and beauty and all of it….
